OUR ATTORNEY
Jeffrey M. Zabner, Attorney and Counselor, is recognized as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization. His private law practice focuses on estates, trusts, probate, post-mortem administration; estate, gift and charitable tax planning; business succession and entity planning.
Mr. Zabner first began practicing law in Michigan in 1975, was admitted to practice in California in 1988, and in Florida in 1993. He remains an active member of the Bar in all three states. He is a Contributing Author to Love, Money, Control: Reinventing Estate Planning (Quantum Press, Denver and Chicago, 2004), and a Co-Author of The Family Limited Partnership Compendium: A Planning System and Reference for Attorneys (Wealth Enhancement Strategies, San Antonio, TX, 1995).

Background
Mr. Zabner received his Juris Doctor degree in 1974 from Michigan State University College of Law (formerly Detroit College of Law), and his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970 from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1975, the State Bar of California in 1988, and to the Florida Bar in 1993.

Mr. Zabner is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate Law, State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.
Educator
Mr. Zabner has served as a lecturer in business law in the area of wills, trusts, and estates, and estate and gift taxes at the university level and has instructed CPAs, CFPs and other attorneys providing continuing legal and professional education to those professions.

Mr. Zabner is a member of the State Bars of California, Florida, and Michigan, and a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Estate Planning sections of each of those State Bar Associations as well as of the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving, and of the Ventura County Planned Giving Roundtable. He is a Co-founder of Wealth Counsel, LLC, a national legal education provider (www.WealthCounsel.com) and is past President of the original Conejo Valley Estate Counselors Forum, Westlake Village, California.
