Mr. Zabner received his Juris Doctor degree in 1974 from Michigan State University College of Law (formerly Detroit College of Law), and his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970 from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1975, the State Bar of California in 1988, and to the Florida Bar in 1993.
Mr. Zabner is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate Law, State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Zabner has served as a lecturer in business law in the area of wills, trusts, and estates, and estate and gift taxes at the university level and has instructed CPAs, CFPs and other attorneys providing continuing legal and professional education to those professions.
Jeffrey M. Zabner is a Contributing Author to Love, Money, Control: Reinventing Estate Planning (Quantum Press, 2004); Co-Author of The Family Limited Partnership Compendium: a Planning and Reference for Attorneys (Wealth Enhancement Strategies, San Antonio, Texas, 1995), and Author of Incentive Estate Planning: Transferring Wealth Without Spoiling the Kids, published in the journal Personal Financial Planning, 1993.
Mr. Zabner is a member of the State Bars of California, Florida, and Michigan, and a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Estate Planning sections of each of those State Bar Associations as well as of the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving, and of the Ventura County Planned Giving Roundtable. He is a Co-founder of Wealth Counsel, LLC, a national legal education provider (www.WealthCounsel.com) and is past President of the original Conejo Valley Estate Counselors Forum, Westlake Village, California.
